Abstract
<jats:p>The textbook is devoted to one of the youngest and most practice-oriented areas of scientific knowledge. It presents the nature, essence and attributes of the digital economy, the reasons for the formation of the data economy and the transition to digital transformation. Special attention is paid to the main characteristics of AI, artificial superintelligence, sub-technologies of AI, applied AI, new socio-economic models of digital economy development and national priorities of Russia. Attention is focused on areas of applied tasks for AI from business practice, AI technologies as a modern driver of competitiveness and business growth. The new challenges for business related to the ongoing transformational processes and phenomena are substantiated. An important issue of the maturity of AI technologies, the logic of digital business transformation in economic sectors is revealed. Digital transformation is presented as a process, phenomenon and result, which is of practical importance for understanding its versatility. The principles of identifying areas of applied problems for AI and the specifics of the process of solving applied problems in economic sectors using technologies of different classes of AI solutions are substantiated. The article considers the ecosystem approach to AI business transformation and its role in achieving technological leadership in Russia. The author draws on the results of his own scientific research, long-term practice of advising businesses and management teams of Russian and foreign companies on the development of corporate development strategies, digital transformation strategies, and data management strategies in conditions of high turbulence.
