Abstract
<jats:p>The current Russian language is considered at all system-structural levels. The synchronous section of phonetics, vocabulary, phraseology, word formation, morphology and syntax, the composition of their units in the necessary interrelations and interdependence is revealed. The main trends of linguistic existence and development are recorded. New language material has been identified and registered. Obsolete, archaic and disappearing elements and phenomena of language at different system levels are noted. The stylistic stratification of linguistic material and stylistic characteristics of linguistic units are presented. It is intended for undergraduates and postgraduates of philological faculties of universities, researchers of the Russian language, its vocabulary, phonetics, semantics and grammar.</jats:p>
