Abstract
<jats:p>The textbook examines the main topics of the criminology course taught at law schools based on the current regulatory legal framework, the requirements of the federal state educational standards of higher professional education in the field of training 030900 "Jurisprudence", scientific achievements and practice in combating crime. The structure of the educational material, the clarity of definitions, the multitude of interesting facts presented, and the manner of presentation make the process of studying criminology fascinating, and the coverage of criminological practice is an instructive lesson. For students, trainees, cadets, undergraduates, postgraduates, teachers of law schools and faculties, practitioners of law enforcement agencies.</jats:p>
