Abstract
The modern digital environment is rapidly changing the world around us, including education. The introduction of artificial intelligence technologies into educational processes has both positive and negative consequences, such as a decline in critical thinking due to the substitution of AI technology for personal analysis of the given task. Based on an experiment to develop and implement a series of test assignments in the subject “Financial Mathematics,” the author assesses the level of mastery of the competencies “know,” “be able,” and “master,” taking into account the possibility of using additional materials: lectures, practical training, or communication tools (gadgets). The article offers practical methodological recommendations for creating test-type tasks, the solution of which, when performed using popular chatbots, leads to incorrect results. Consequently, such tasks develop students’ independent critical thinking.
