Abstract
Abstract
This article looks at adhesive compounds, which are essential for joining similar or different materials in many areas such as industrial, structural, medical, and consumer applications. These compounds work through complex physical and chemical processes that depend on the types of materials and the adhesive formulation. Adhesives include many types of chemistry, such as synthetic resins, natural polymers, elastomers, thermosets, thermoplastics, and hybrid systems. This article offers a detailed review of adhesive compounds, focusing on their chemical classifications, formulation components, bonding mechanisms, and structure–property relationships. It also covers different curing methods, performance features, and end‐use applications.
